There are two main ways to get appointments and contacts for your MLM business. I have personally found one to be more profitable than the other. Get this key strategy, as well as other training points in the words that follow.

I really hope you will thoroughly study the process of learning how to invite, because this is where you get good at network marketing.

I’ve said it for 10 years: you can be terrible at everything else and still earn good money in network marketing if you’re good at inviting. If you can invite well, you can always put prospects in front of good presenters and good trainers.

The word invite in the context that I’m using it is the act of asking someone to do something. Go to a movie, meet for breakfast, watch a video, etc.

In this business you’re inviting people to look at either the business or the product or both.

1. Business: This is where you show and educate your prospects about the MLM industry. Have them really understand and believe in its ability to provide adequate income and time freedom. Then show your product or service. This style is sometimes called “top down” or “business first.”

2. Product: Show your prospects only the product (skin care, nutrition, telephone services, Internet services). After your prospect falls in love with the product they’ll know the business is viable. This style is called “bottom up” or “product first.”

The lack of understanding of these two methods causes much frustration in MLM.

Why are People Confused? Perhaps the best way for me to explain why the confusion takes place is with an example of a stockbroker. What does the stockbroker sell? You may reply, stocks. Well, not really. What the stockbroker actually sells is that you can make money with a stock.

So the money you’ll make is the product. You may have heard this referred to as “marketing intangibles.” This is very much like network marketing because often the presenter prefers to “market the intangible,” i.e., that you can make money. This isn’t necessarily a bad method, unless you’re talking to someone who doesn’t understand this conversation.

Suppose we’re talking to a person who comes from a retail sales background. Let’s say she owns a wax candle shop. If she hears a presenter talking about all the money she can make in the business, she’ll constantly be struggling to understand where the money is coming from. Many times these people are walking around after the typical presentation saying, “I don’t get it.” The reason she doesn’t get it is because she’s used to holding in her hands the tangible product that makes her the money.

This also works in reverse. If you approach a stockbroker and rub hand lotion on his hands and say, “You can make a lot of money doing this,” he won’t get it either. He’ll see it as a little “pretty party thing.” Certainly not something that could create a lot of money.

What’s My Point? How you invite, whether it’s the MLM business plan first or product first will have much to do with “knowing” your prospect. This is the reason networking with people you know is so effective. This is also why you should master both MLM business and product invitations.

In your business, take the approach that you’re starting your own company. You need a board of directors. In MLM we call them leaders.

The most important thing for you to understand at this point is you don’t necessarily have to know these people. You probably won’t. You may personally find these leaders or someone in your organization could lead you to them.

What character traits do you want in your network marketing leaders? What character traits do your leaders want in you? Why is this important for inviting?

Your greatest asset will become your eagle eye at picking leaders that will contribute to the success of your organization. I’ve not found a better way to teach how to spot a great MLM leader than just plain experience. However, you can look for certain traits.

Here is a list of character traits you do want in your board of directors…

high self esteem

goal driven

entrepreneurial

business minded

owner mentality

ready to act now

decisive

mentally tough

Conversely, here’s a list of traits you don’t want in your board of directors…

passive

wishy-washy

employee mentality

not ready to act

low self-esteem

easily influenced by others

worries about what others think

How well you do at inviting will greatly depend on the growth of your communication skills. Most people have difficulty with communication. I did! However, the more I study it, the more I realize that communication is what makes or breaks us in life.

It’s your ability to woo your significant other. It’s your ability to get a job, get a raise, get a promotion, get along with others in the office. The signs on the road are the City communicating with us, giving us driving instructions. Whether written or verbal, communication is life. Don’t most conflicts stem from miscommunications? Ever hear “You don’t understand me?” It’s definitely a skill worthy of much research and study.

Ever heard your MLM prospects say “I don’t like sales?” Often when your network marketing prospects don’t think they’re good at communication they’ll use the phrase, “I don’t like sales” or “I’m not a sales person.”

Sales has nothing to do with it. In fact when you picture a sales person, what you’re picturing is a poor communicator. When you’ve been sold, you knew it. You felt it. When you’re in the presence of a really good communicator you may have bought something, but you were never sold anything.

A good communicator will never sell what his prospect won’t buy. There’s no way they could get there. A good communicator, whether a nurse or a networker listens and helps people get what they want.

That’s all. A nurse has to learn the appropriate questions to ask so he/she can find exactly what the needs of the patient are. The nurse must also learn the appropriate responses to the standard questions and concerns the patient has.

A networker also must learn the needed questions and the appropriate responses to common objections so they can help their MLM business prospects get what they want.

Now let’s look at this from the perspective of how to qualify an MLM business prospect. Both of the invitations below are the truth. Which one do you think will work?

Invitation 1
An invite call asking a girl on a date:
Boy: I saw you on campus the other day and I’m interested in finding out more about who you are. I grew up in Boston, my parents are from New England. My dad’s in the banking business. I’m studying finance as well. What are your interests? Are you available should I want to marry you? How many kids do you want? I want 3 kids. What’s your religion? Shall we sit down and discuss the possibilities?

Invitation 2
Boy: I’ve seen you on campus and you seem to be a fun person. I’d like to take you to lunch and get to know you better. How does that sound to you?

Both have the same purpose in mind for meeting.

The argument in the industry is which one is better? People who are pro invitation #1 will tell you that they’re pre-qualifying their MLM business prospects. So they’re not wasting their time on people who don’t qualify. The outcome was that this guy had to make 72 calls to get a girl to say “Sure, why not.”

The outcome was 72 calls = 1 date.

People who are pro invitation #2 will say that you sit down for lunch and you put your agenda aside and you just talk and be friendly. You listen to them. Find out what their needs and desires are. Help them get it.

The outcome was, she isn’t interested in going out with you but she thinks you’re a great guy and has 3 roommates and 2 sisters who she wants to set you up with.

The outcome was 1 meeting = 5 dates.

I’m suggesting to you that invitation #1 is “sales” and that invitation #2 is “networking.”

I’ve heard distributors invite people to look at an MLM business opportunity much like invitation #1. I’m not kidding. To show you, pick up a tape recorder and record yourself. Even though you know you’re recording what you say, your conversations will still resemble invitation #1. Example: “My company does this, I’m making x amount of money, my company has this, and I have this, etc…”

Learning how to properly invite prospects to look at your MLM business and truly network with people is not always easy, but can be profitable for you. I commend your willingness to study it. Be a student of this inviting subject forever, but don’t wait more than a week before doing it, even if it’s just tiny steps.

As you’ve probably heard before, your post-workout meal may very well be your most important meal of the day. The reason is that when you’re finished with an intense workout, you’re entering a catabolic state where your muscle glycogen is depleted and increased cortisol levels are beginning to excessively break down muscle tissue. These conditions are not good and the only way to reverse this catabolic state (and promote an anabolic state) is to consume a quickly digestible post-workout meal as soon as you can after training. The goal is to choose a meal with quickly digestible carbs to replenish muscle glycogen as well as quickly digestible protein to provide the amino acids needed to jump start muscular repair. The surge of carbohydrates and amino acids from this quickly digested meal promotes an insulin spike from the pancreas, which shuttles nutrients into the muscle cells.

The post-workout meal should generally contain between 300-500 calories to get the best response. For example, a 120-lb female may only need a 300-calorie meal, whereas a 200-lb male may need a 500-calorie post-workout meal. Your post-workout meal should also contain anywhere from a 2:1 ratio of carbs:protein to a 4:1 ratio of carbs:protein. While most of your other daily meals should contain a source of healthy fats, keep the fat content of your post-workout meal to a bare minimum, since fat slows the absorption of the meal, which is the opposite of what you want after a workout.

When choosing what to make for your post-workout meal, the first thing to realize is that you DON’T need any of these expensive post-workout supplement formulations that the magazines (who advertise for them) will tell you that you absolutely NEED! As with any nutritional strategies, natural is always better. A good source of quickly digestible natural carbs such as frozen bananas, pineapples, raisins, honey, or organic maple syrup are perfect to elicit an insulin response that will promote muscle glycogen replenishment and a general anabolic (muscle building) effect. The best source of quickly digestible protein is a quality non-denatured whey protein isolate and/or some fat-free or low-fat yogurt. Here are a couple ideas for delicious post-workout smoothies that will kick start your recovery process:

Chocolate Banana – blend together 1 cup water, ½ cup skim milk, one and a half frozen bananas, 2 tbsp organic maple syrup, and 30 grams chocolate whey protein powder – 38 g prot, 72 g carb, 0.5 g fat, 440 calories.

Pineapple Vanilla – blend together 1 cup water, ½ cup vanilla yogurt, one cup frozen pineapples, 2 tbsp honey (preferably raw), and 30 grams vanilla whey protein powder – 35 g prot, 71 g carb, 0.5 g fat, 425 calories.

When looking to lose body fat, keep in mind that post-workout meals should have the opposite characteristics of all of your other meals throughout each day. While post-workout meals should have quick high glycemic index carbs, quickly digested proteins, and minimal fat, all of your other meals throughout the day should be comprised of low glycemic index, slowly digested carbs, slow release proteins, and ample healthy fats. These are powerful strategies towards developing a lean muscular body with a low body fat percentage. Another great thing about post-workout meals is that you can satisfy even the worst sweet tooth, since this is the one time of the day where you can get away with eating extra sugars without adding to your gut. Instead, it all goes straight to the muscles! Enjoy!

If you want to gain weight, you need to focus on how you’re eating. After all, gaining weight is all based upon your nutrition.

In order to gain weight, you must first create a calorie surplus in which calories are either used for building muscle or they are stored away as fat.

So, if you want to gain weight, you must first look at the way you’re eating, before you look at your training or the supplements you take.

Here are 5 simple, proven things you can do to gain more weight in less time.

1. Eat a large breakfast

Start the day off right by eating a large breakfast. In fact, you want to consume most of your daily calories early on in the day and reduce them as the day goes on.

So the largest meal each day should be breakfast and they should get smaller as you go.

Your breakfast should be high in protein, moderate in carbs, and low in fats. A large breakfast will jumpstart your metabolism and give your body the nutrients it needs, when it needs them.

Never train on an empty stomach, that’s the fastest way to lose muscle possible. If you train in the morning, the bulk of your calories should come after your workout, not before. It’s tough training in the morning if you have a full stomach.

2. Eat often and eat a lot

You need to eat many meals throughout the day, spread apart by about 3 hours. This way, you have a steady, constant stream of nutrients that your body can use for muscle and tissue growth.

Eating often will also help your body use the calories you’re taking in for muscle mass growth and will be less likely to store them as body fat.

3. Take in a lot of protein

Your body requires protein to build muscle mass. I’m sure if you want to gain weight, you’d like most of it to be muscle mass and not fat.

Protein is responsible for building muscle. Try and get 1 to 1.5 grams of protein per pound of body weight. So if you weigh 150 pounds, you want to eat at least 150 grams of protein, preferably more.

For each meal, try and get 30 to 40 grams of protein from quality sources like chicken, tuna, fish, turkey, eggs, lean red meats, dairy, and meal replacements.

4. Consume a pre-workout meal

To gain weight, you need calories. You also want to protect yourself from muscle tissue breakdown.

If your body needs nutrients during a workout, it will break down muscle tissue to get it. But by supplying your body with nutrients before a workout, you give it the raw materials it needs for fuel, so it will not break down muscle tissue.

Take 12 ounces of grape juice or Gatorade and to it add a scoop of whey protein, 5 grams of creatine, and 10 grams of glutamine.

This pre-workout shake is guaranteed to help you gain weight.

5. Get the proper post-workout nutrition

You want to take another one of these shakes right after training, to supply your muscles with the nutrients they need to build new muscle mass.

At this time, you also want to replenish the lost glycogen in your muscles. The best thing to do for post workout is to drink another juice/protein/creatine/glutamine combination. You want to have about 50-75 grams of carbs and 35-50 grams of protein right after your workouts, depending on your size.

About an hour after training, eat a solid, whole food meal that’s high in protein and complex carbs. Like breakfast, this is an important part of your daily nutrition because your workouts really depletes your body of needed nutrients and this is the perfect time to replace them for proper muscle recovery and growth.

These 5 tips will help you gain weight fast and also help you increase your muscle size and strength. If you’re not gaining the weight you want, you’re probably not eating the best way possible.

Recent researches show that certain foods like nuts and seeds, can boost your self-esteem and stabilize your mood. Whether you believe it or not, if you consume large quantities of any kind of nuts (almonds, hazelnuts, walnuts etc) and seeds (sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds etc) you will experience mood balance and you will start thinking clearer and be happier.

Many modern scientists use the term “Brain Food” for nuts and seeds and other related food. It is not a coincidence that nuts look like our brains. For example a walnut’s hard shell looks like our skull. Inside the walnut, the thin layer that connects the two halves of the nut looks like our brain membrane. And the two parts of the nut represent the two hemisphere of our brain.

Is it a coincidence that a food, shaped like a human brain, is considered a “Brain Food” and is proven to help your brain work more effectively while stabilizing your mood?

Here’s another fact. Most nuts are made up of at least 20% protein and contain omega-6 fatty acids, large quantities of vitamin E and B6. These powerful ingredients contained in nuts and seeds could boost your mood in a way similar to famous chemical antidepressants. There are hundreds of reports about the antidepressant effects of nuts.

Is it possible to defeat the not-so-serious conditions like mild depression, anxiety and stress by consuming certain types of nuts, without using any kind of chemical drugs? Its a great idea to eat nuts when you feel moody or you feel you are in a bad shape. It would be better to make those “Brain Foods” an important part of your diet. But when it comes to severe mental disorders (severe depression, panic attacks) you cannot simply rely on nuts and seeds to overcome the problem.

What nuts and seeds do is to enhance and empower the way your nervous system work, balancing your mood. Although nuts are excellent natural antidepressants and have no side effects, nutrition alone cannot be a substitute for the care of a trained professional doctor. Treating serious health conditions should involve the care of medical specialists.

Now, some historical information on these “Brain Foods”.

Isn’t true that nuts and seeds were an essential and elegant part of our ancestors’ diets? That goes for all ancient civilizations across the globe. Is this a coincidence? Years of research have shown that 70% of our ancestors’ diets were fruits, vegetables, nuts and selected seeds. Diets based on these “Brain Foods” were considered to improve mental abilities and lower the risk of infections/disease.

Start today. Understand that nuts and seeds empower your brain and your body and boost your mood and energy levels. Make those “rich” foods an important part of your diet.

Stress relief, superlearning, heightened focused concentration, creativity, superlearning, easy changework, instant Samadhi. These are goals that can be reached if you use a Light and Sound Machine. Sometimes called a Brain Machine or Audio and Visual Stimulation (AVS), these devices allow the user to reach states of being in a controlled way.

Neurologists have studied the brain since the late 1800’s seeking ways to help people with brain injuries and learning dysfunctions. Recent discoveries have reached the general population. If something can help a subject with a learning disability or brain injury, what could it do for a “normal” person?

The brain has 100 billion neurons generating and transmitting electrical signals. These signals can be detected by devices called EEG machines (electroencephalograph) One of the big discoveries was the correlation of brain waves to states of being. Stress, alertness, relaxation, mediation, and sleep have been shown to match particular wave patterns. Neurologists have given these brain wave patterns names taken from the ancient Greek Alphabet. Typical alert behavior registers at 30 or more hertz (cycles per second). Alpha state is a condition that is easily achieved by closing the eyes and relaxing. 7-13hz is the range for the Alpha condition. Sleep is the lowest frequency at 0.5 to 3hrz.

The most difficult state to achieve and maintain is the in-between state of Theta (3-7hz). It is the state found in the brains of meditation masters. Many students of meditation work for years to reach the Theta state reliably and consistently. Either the mind wanders off into some train of thought or it falls asleep. What if there was a way to quick and easy way to learn how to meditate?

In the late 50’s a radio broadcaster named Robert Monroe was experimenting with sound tones for super-learning. He discovered that sound frequencies created certain effects in the brain. When two different frequencies are played in both ears the brain will resonate at the vibration that is the difference between the two tones. If one tone is played in the left ear at 110hz and 100 is played in the right ear the brain waves will resonate at 10hz, which is the same as Alpha Waves. The same effect is triggered by flashing or flickering light. That is why looking at a campfire is so relaxing. The flames just happen to flicker at the alpha rate. He coined the term Frequency Following Response (FFR).

Light and Sound Machines are devices that bring that experience from the lab into your home for a fraction of the cost. Typically they consist of a controller, stereo headphones and lightglasses. The controller is a computer that creates the light and sound sessions. There is a user interface for selection of time, and the combination of desired frequencies or brain states. They can be selected manually, or a pre-programmed session can be picked. Headphones provide the sound with high quality comfort. The lightglasses are like opaque sunglasses with two or more LED lights positioned over the eyelids.

Here are some features that can be found in superior brain machines:

• Rechargeable batteries – nothing worse than a blissful L&S session cut short due to dead batteries.

• Input jack – add music or hypnosis recordings to the sessions

• Programmability – custom design your own sessions.

• Two or more output jacks – share the experience

• Ramp up ramp down – a gentle beginning and end

• Download sessions via computer – add to your collection

• Color choice – red, green or yellow -what is your preference?

• Carry case or bag – safely store and transport

• Ongoing customer support – what happens when you have a question or problem?

My personal experience with brain machines started in the late eighties. I discovered the book Megabrain by Michael Hutchison. He described various technologies for accessing and enhancing brain states such as brain machines, float tanks, nutrition, and electro-stimulation.

I purchased a basic AVS unit from a direct mail advertisement and began to use it regularly. I experienced some sublime peak experiences using it along with meditation tapes.

The system I am using now is called Nova Pro by Photosonix. I have used it for approximately ten years. It is a real workhorse and creates beautiful experiences for me. The only trouble I have had is with the headphones. They had to be replaced after the phone cord got sucked into a vacuum cleaner. Totally my fault, but easy enough to go to any department store and pick up a new set of headphones.

So, where do you get a Light and Sound Machine? There are a number of manufacturers and even more distributors for them. I have discovered that there is a cost savings by going directly to the manufacture if you can. That is why I picked the Photosonix unit. I got a great price for it. I am still using it after all this time.

Ebay is a good source for a great bargain on an L&S machine. Some are sold brand new, others are used and at a remarkable savings.

Amazon is an excellent source. They carry the book Megabrain and Light and Sound Machines

I began training for my first marathon today. The marathon is Janruary 9, 2011… Anybody have or know of a good 6 month training program to help me out? I’m not a beginner runner, but I am not an advanced either. I can currently run 5-6 miles 6 days a week, obviously that will change while im training for a marathon. but whats a good program? because I really want to achieve this goal and i know i’ll need the proper training and nutrition?

You run 36 miles a week and you call yourself not advanced? Anything consistant over 20 miles a week is a good runner.

Go to the library and pick up a book or two about running. Most marathon training programs are 16-20 weeks, so only 4 or five months. Six months is a big long to train.

I have run a few marathons and I suggest you slow down or stop drinking beer. It made me so much faster and I felt better as well. Otherwise, try getting longer runs in the weekends before you start your training. Go for an 8 miler this weekend, a 10 miler next weekend, and 10 miles the next few, then pick up your training.

Good luck!

You have promised yourself that 2009 is the year that you finally reshape your body so it no longer resembles the Pillsbury Dough Boy. The chore for last Sunday was to clean everything out of your food storages that contained MSG, high fructose corn syrup or anything that even remotely resembled a trans-fatty acid. Now you seem to be staring at nothing but empty shelves and wonder what you possibly can throw together for a nutritious meal! Hey, if you have gotten this far then you should have a well prepared nutritional program made out. Grab that thing and head for the supermarket.

If your knowledge of the grocery store is limited to the location of beer, soda pop and saltine crackers then you are probably in for a surprise or two. Learn to divide your shopping store aisles into two categories. The first will be the danger zones of pre-packaged foods. If chocolate chip cookies and wavy potato chips have been your best friends it is time for a separation. The best way to not eat them is to not buy them so stay out of those aisles. The second aisle choice will be the safe zones and will consist of the produce section and most of the refrigerated aisles.

Once in the store make a bee-line to the vegetable and fruit areas. Pick out foods that resemble a rainbow in color. Spinach, tomatoes, asparagus, mushrooms and celery all have fantastic colors. Throw in a bell pepper or two (red, green or yellow they are all just about the same nutritionally) and you are off to a good start with your menu planning.

Don’t neglect the fruits in this area. Bananas, oranges, apples and grapes can all usually be had throughout the year thanks to worldwide marketing standards. Fill your refrigerator and counter tops with a variety of fruit and soon you will not miss those curly cheese crisps much at all!

Now is the time to take a stroll over to the meat section. Notice that when people speak of “meat” in a body building or weight lifting nutrition plan they generally do not mean a big chunk of prime rib roast. Your desires here should be high protein coupled with low fats so start looking at poultry and fish. There is a great selection so you can rotate sources of protein without becoming bored. Look for salmon and other fishes with high omega-3 oils, chicken and turkey sausages (be careful of salt!), chicken breasts and even stretch the limits to include some extra lean ground sirloin.

Prior to checkout you can include many other tasty treats to your shopping cart. Cheeses are fantastic, especially those with a stronger taste that denotes a higher protein level. Just remember that cheese is high in fat and should be limited in your diet. Grab some dried peas, beans or other legumes as these can be excellent sources of fiber for your dietary needs. Grains and mixed nuts are excellent choices to add variety and taste to your menus.

With experience you will be able to decrease the shopping time necessary to fill your larder with necessary nutrients. Your goal is to create food dishes that are attractive to the eye as well as nutritious and filling. These type meals will not only maintain your stamina levels to finish your daily workouts but will add color and beauty which helps keep your motivational levels high.

If you’ve owned a dog for awhile, you most likely are aware of the benefits of a healthy and nutritious dog diet. With so many excellent dog foods on the market today, how do you decide which are the best?

It’s a difficult question to answer because dog food scientists are more aware that dog diets are equally as important as our own. Dogs need proper vitamins and minerals every day. They need a balanced diet, one that contains meat and vegetables.

We often don’t think of it, but dogs are carnivorous, but they also eat berries and vegetables if necessary for survival in the wild. These products provide nutrients that are not readily available from protein-rich diets.

Researchers also know that certain ingredients can produce negative reactions in dogs that are sensitive to them. As dog food manufacturers improve on their products by adding more of the nutritious elements and less of the harmful ones, dog owners can rest a little easier.

Many excellent products are on the market today. They come in a variety of forms, including canned, bagged and as individual treats that provide extra benefit such as teeth cleaning. Chain stores that once focused more on providing moderately adequate economical food are now beginning to offer dog foods that are higher in quality yet still at a low cost.

While economical food is better than it once was, it still doesn’t match up to the superiority of premium dog food that has a price to match.

If you would rather not risk your dog’s health, consider stores that sell feed for other animals and that regularly deal with customers interested in excellent nutrition for their pets. They would undoubtedly be able to help you decide on a specific brands that suit your dog’s particular needs.

Look online and you will find companies that specialize in organic and natural dog diets. Some of the merchants will deliver the food right to your door, making it extremely convenient for you to find and purchase the best option for your dog.

Some people are still reluctant to buy online which is always a risk unless the company is well known and established. Take whatever steps you can to check them out. See how long they have been online and in business. Look for reviews of the company and their products to see what users might be saying.

Barring the internet, do not overlook your veterinarian as a good source of information. He will be able to make a recommendation based on your particular dog’s breed, size and any health conditions that might exist. The food you choose can help or hinder your dog’s condition, especially if he is in a weakened state.

Many vets sell specific brands and varieties of dog food from their office. The price might be a bit higher, but the value is worth to your dog’s health is worth it.

Buying from your vet is handy as you can collect the food during your pet’s check-up or when going to get your dog’s monthly medication in the case of heartworm or other condition. If the vet recommends a particular type of diet for your dog due to health reasons, he likely will be the best person to talk to about finding the exact food your dog requires.

Of course, what better way to guarantee your dog gets only the freshest food than to grow your own. Since dogs require vegetables as well as meat and grain, you can prepare some recipes yourself from your own garden stock. Choose green beans and carrots which provide are excellent food value.

For quality meat and ideal bones, check with your local butcher who will have fresher food than you will get from processed dog food. Once you have decided on a specific diet for your dog, take advantage of the healthiest and most convenient method available to you.

As you stand in the store pondering the plethora of varieties of dog food for your dog’s diet, your mind can truly become overwhelmed. The numerous ingredients in dog food simply complicate things even further.

Who really knows what all of those ingredients really mean? You see glucosamine on some of the dog food labels. That sounds a bit familiar. Haven’t you heard of glucosamine in the news? What exactly is glucosamine and why should it be in your dog’s diet?

Glucosamine has proven to be beneficial to joint health in humans. Research has also shown that glucosamine in a dog’s diet can be beneficial to your pet’s health too.

Glucosamine is a dietary supplement that maintains good joint cartilage. It is one of the key building blocks to produce joint lubricants. The joint lubricant helps to keep the joints moving and functioning with ease. When included in your dog’s diet, it will ensure your pet’s joints work at their peak performance levels for years to come.

How does glucosamine work to help your dog’s joints?

The added hydration and lubrication it provides to the joints will help to prevent arthritis in your dog. Owners of large breed dogs that are predisposed to having joint and hip problems should especially consider adding glucosamine to their dog’s diet.

Shellfish is a good source of glucosamine. It is also available through a unique process of fermenting corn. This method creates a vegetable based glucosamine. One of the qualities of glucosamine is that it does not interact with other medications your dog might be taking.

Today, many high-quality dog foods have added glucosamine to their dog food following reports by dog nutrition researchers of its benefits to dog joint health. Glucosamine will be listed on the dog food label if it exists in that particular product. If it is not mentioned, supplements can be given.

Glucosamine supplements come in numerous forms. You can even give your dog a treat specially designed to supplement your dog’s diet. The tasty treat eliminates the trouble of dosing your dog with pills.

Of course, it is always best to talk to your veterinarian about any changes to your dog’s diet. He or she can give you advice about what supplements should be added and in what quantity. Ask your vet about the advantages of glucosamine and whether they supplements are necessary.

Protect your dog’s joints by monitoring the amount of glucosamine in your dog’s diet.
