I think they are extremely neurotic teen girls living in a culture that turns them into sex objects.

Plus they want instant results, convenience. They want weight loss to be as simple as walking into the store and buying something. But that is not how health works.

Edit: Suzyhome mother there is nothing wrong with encouraging contraceptive use! The alternative is far worse….and abstinence clearly doesn’t work for 90% of us. Did it work for you?

They are too busy teaching kids how to use condoms, not to trust their parents, and how to brainwash our kids. The school is the modern day form of Nazism. They seemed to have forgotten they are merely a public servant, not the parents of our children. They need children from broken homes, they don’t know how to deal with a mom and dad who do care. The fact that they have a psychologist now in schools should scare parents. You are right, but we don’t get to decide what gets taught, that’s why my husband and I home school.

Health class used to teach you how you got that way, and how to prevent it…

I doesn’t sound like they do. I keep seeing questions form young girls who want to look like models (who are usually unhealthy with drug and/or eating disorders) or young boys wanting to look ripped. I blame parents.

How about stepping away from the xbox, going outside to play and having a home cooked meal for a change?

Parents are ultimately responsible for teaching their children good eating habits, encouraging activity and building healthy self esteem. No one is responsible for this but their parents.

Well personally in my health class it was more of a sex ed class. Not much on nutrition. I think we glanced at the food pyramid once but…

Oh and we did cover salmonella and such…

Most of them just think skeletons are attractive, don't realize that the health issues are real and give up when diets and exercise take too long.
