Looking for advice from someone who knows nutrition on fiber supplements, specifically FiberSure?
Is using this the same as eating foods that contain fiber? I am trying to get the recommended 30-35 grams/day, but usually fall short (around 25 grams). I just want to make sure that it is not pointless to be taking this supplement. Thanks for any advice you can give:)
No it is not a waste to take fiber supplements. Most people simply to do not get enough fiber in their diets so supplementation is ideal. As you mention, you fall short. It is well worth the get the suggested amount since the benefits are so great – healthy digestion, potentially reducing certain illness risks and reducing the risk of colon cancer.
Just a little bit of new information today for all those internet marketers looking for the best new up and coming release for 2010. Be on the lookout of Niche Blueprint 2 coming on January 11, it is going to be huge and change the ecommerce marketplace.
Fibersure is a great and easy way to add fibre to your diet. Days where you might not eat that much or eat the right foods – how easy to ensure your fibre intake than take a bit of fibersure. It’s not gritty and tastes okay – easy to add to food. Unlike something like Metamucil which is a little grittier and does not mix well with food.
Keep in mind though – that if you do eat enough fiber this product isn’t really needed. For times of constipation or digestive problems you are probably better off using some Metamucil (original) since it’s a different type of fibre than the kind you ingest and acts differently.

I just finished a nutrition class in culinary school and we are all killing ourselves! Fiber is very important it helps many functions in the body. Dense foods have lots of fiber including fruits. Eat lots of fruits with the skin on like apples, pears etc….Also, eat vegetables like broccoli (it sucks without cheese sauce) beans and legumes are an excellent source of fiber. Stay away from canned products, they have a ton of salt. Fresh is best, frozen next. Check nutritional info. on labels. Cereals and grain breads are good too! hope this helps.
