Tips that can Help to Fight Acne
Acne can be very embarrassing at all ages. There are certain things that you can do that will prevent your skin to suddenly erupt acne. If a certain regimen is followed acne can surely be prevented.
Exercise:
Keeping yourself fit and trim can help you fight acne. The stress levels are reduced to a large extent and this stops the occurrence of depression and low self esteem. These factors contribute to prevent acne. But remember always to properly time out your regimen, put on comfortable clothing and use proper sports gear and equipment. Tight fitting garments made of nylon and lycra are extremely unsuitable if you are prone to the acne menace. Synthetic clothes confine not only the body heat but the moisture as well. This leads to rapid multiplication of bacteria leading to acne growth. Cotton clothes, loosely fitted are the best because natural fibers allow air to freely circulate and your skin gets more air. When your workout is complete remember to wear fresh clothes after having a good bath. Also remember to keep your sports equipment and clothes clean and dry. Unclean headgear can lead to forehead acne and you need to prevent it at all costs.
Diet:
You should eat healthy so that you stay healthy. Your diet should consist of proper quantities of vitamins, minerals and other supplements to prevent the break out of acne. Fresh fruits, vegetables, juices are the best to prevent acne flare-ups.

Cosmetics:
Anything that blocks and clogs the pores leading to skin irritation has enough potential to contribute to acne growth. You should use oil- free or non -comedogenic cosmetics. Shiny facial colors contain mica that clogs pores and causes skin irritations. Coal tar, derivatives, heavy cream and carmine are some other ingredients that irritate the skin leading to acne growth. Lip-glosses that are shinier contain comedogenic elements that clog pores to a large extent. So glosses that are matte finish are much better in this regard. Eye creams contain large quantities of moisturizers than normal creams and they clog pores around the eyes.
Hygiene:
Harsh chemicals on skin, over washing and scrubbing cause irritation. Oil secretion is increased if the face is rubbed and cleaned too often. This can lead to acne production. Gentle exfoliation is good for the skin. Alcohol products should be avoided at all costs.
These are some of the essential things that you have to keep in mind to steer clear of acne-ridden skin.

Specific tips with Acne and Proactiv?
Alright so i used to have moderate acne until I started using Proactiv. Even after I started using proactiv, my face would get really oily, so I go the oil control, which works really well to prevent oil. So now i have proactiv 5 step treatment (with the oil control and moisturizer) which works well, but I still get occasional zits in the form of whiteheads that pop up near my lips and places where i dont have facial hair. Also my nose still get oily and there are several blackheads that are hard to get rid of. Are there any tips in using proactiv or any extra remedies that i could use to prevent these problems? I don’t want to stop using proactiv, because it does do a pretty good job fighting acne overall, is comfortable on my skin, and does an excellent job preventing deep scarring acne that i know i would get if it wasn’t for proactiv. Thanks for any help.
You could always try this…I do it and I find it helpful.
Before washing your face you should get a hot wet washcloth and put it over your face to open up your pores. Put the cloth on your face where you can breathe. Leave on for 5 minutes and when you wash your face your pores are actually opened wide enough to get the medication deep down into your pores to dry out the oil. When you rinse your face…use ice cold water to shrink your pores. Then apply your proactiv treatment. But before you do that if you really want those black heads gone, try getting biore nose strips they actually work I use them all the time.
Hopefully I helped some.
