post workout is different than last meal and what not. after you train if its high intensity and long endurance like bjj should be (or even lower intensity), you may do well with a post workout supplement like a gatorade or something with a high gylcemic carb. and with electrolytes (sodium and potassium) many recommend a banana. taken with protein many think your body will absorb the protein better with the carbs. this is different than a body builder would do. it doesn't matter when you come home it matters when you go to bed. all i know is if i don't eat a meal before bed i can't make it through the night. glutamine is anti catablolic and a good thing to drink before bed.

remember your main goal is to supplement your sport not to look like a body builder so alot that you read out there won't be tailored towards sports and athletics
References :
Protein is fine, if you want to do a meal keep it low on carbs..

Your body is in a anabolic state right after a workout (like minutes according to some scientists, longer according to others) and when you sleep.

Protein after a workout or before bed is fine, just make sure you aren't overdoing it. You want a low carb protein shake, and you want to keep it at about 20 to 25 grams at a time (your body can't absorb more than that).

Also make sure you aren't taking in too much protein (one grand for every Kilogram you are is fine... 2.2 pounds = 1Kg.)

I try to keep my last MEAL around 4 hours prior to bed. But I will take in protein before bed.
